Maryland Emergency Management Association Awards Scholarships

MARYLAND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION AWARDS FIVE SCHOLARSHIPS We are pleased to announce the following students have been awarded scholarships of $1000 each as they further their education: Region I: Washington County-Linsay K. Wilkinson, Boonsboro High School, field of study Homeland Security/Emergency Services. Region II: Frederick County-Christopher A. Steinheimer, Urbana High School, field of study is Political Science. Region III: Harford County-Timothy Dowding, Bel Air High School, field of study Fire Science. Region IV: Kent County-Kyle M. Mench, Kent County High School, field of study is Civil Engineering. Region V: No recommendations for award Fifth Scholarship: Garrett County-Nicholas Crabtree, Southern Garrett High School, field of study is Emergency Management & Homeland Security These awards are based upon criteria established by the scholarship committee such as applications, interviews, and essays. The scholarship committee was made up of Verna Brown-Chair, Amy Lepore-President, Cindy Towers-Caroline County, Ed Mullikin-Talbot County and Darlene Flynn-Montgomery County
